The BECAUSE WE CAN. 3×3 tournament is designed to break down internal and external barriers for female athletes. We empower girls to embrace new experiences and explore different opportunities on and off the court. We encourage players to embrace these new experiences with a positive and confident attitude. BECAUSE WE CAN. 3×3 tournaments are a safe space for athletes to try new skills in a formalized game environment. The nature of having fewer players on the court allows athletes to truly participate with more touches on the basketball, and to have more opportunities to be leaders and meet new friends.

NO COACHES OR SPECTATORS ALLOWED ON THE COURT

*To achieve our 3×3 tournament goals of promoting autonomy, leadership, and confidence amongst girls at a young age, coaches and parents will not be allowed on the court; there will be seating upstairs overlooking the courts.*

CODE OF CONDUCT

*Only players, officials, and event staff allowed on the court. All spectators, including coaches, are to be in the stands.*

By participating in this tournament as an athlete or spectator, we expect you to show respect to all. This includes respecting the decisions of the officials and tournament staff – negative communication with players, coaches, officials, or tournament staff will not be tolerated. Removal of spectators due to unsportsmanlike behavior is up to the discretion of the conveners and officials.

Parents/coaches/spectators are NOT allowed on the court to help achieve the tournament goals of promoting autonomy, leadership, and confidence amongst girls at a young age.
